BLE Trained Teams Tryout Information

All teams are trained by BLE, but are not organized or coached by BLE. They are separate entities. Below is a list of trained teams, their contact information, and tryout dates. This information will be updated on a regular basis as teams post their tryout information.

All age listings are for next year's age eligibility in 2009 (not this year).

COLLEGE AND PRO PITCHING TRYOUTS

In recent years, MLB and college baseball has experienced a troubling trend of prospects that fizzle out due to mental weakness, poor work ethic, and a lack of dedication to the game. Thus, many have turned to recommendations and insider information from trusted individuals that have personal relationships with MLB and college baseball recruiters. This new type of scouting is designed to weed out the prospects that would otherwise had become a bust.

Jim Parque is one such individual. His network that is directly involved with this program have the authority to draft or present a scholarship offer. They are NOT personnel whom are hired to RECOMMEND, as there is a major difference.

BLE will be holding "open" tryouts on September 20th @ 10:00 AM at the BLE facility, located at 1601 15th Street, NW, in Auburn. Show up 30 minutes prior to tryouts to sign in and get warmed up.

Pitchers involved with this program last year experienced the following:

  • An average of 4-5 MPH increase on their fastball due to power mechanics rarely taught to amateur pitchers. A few pitchers experienced a velocity increase of 8-10 MPH.
  • A major increase in college and professional interest that has translated into college camp invites, MLB notification of interest, and college letters of interest.
  • Increase in curve ball and slider break, rotation, and control.
  • Mechanical efficiency that translated into more innings pitched, going deeper into games, and less fatigue in the later innings.
  • A higher sense of mental pitching prowess- how to set hitters up and put them away quicker
  • Many pitchers experienced highly successful HS seasons that surpassed everyone's expectations.
  • Many pitchers experienced a major increase in physical strength and increased their muscular weight and fitness due to the highly advanced strength and conditioning program.
  • Two pitchers threw no hitters and/or were perfect through 6 innings in HS baseball this year.
  • Last year, Mr. Parque chose 32 pitchers. Only 15 survived due to cuts and/or the program being too stressful and/or too advanced. Out of the 15, six are actively being recruited by major Division I colleges or professional organizations. One is being considered for a top 3 round draft pick for the 2010 draft.

PROGRAM DETAILS:

  • October 6-February 19, (off for HS season), optional workouts from June 1 thru August 13
  • 2x per week workouts: 3:30-5:00 PM (Mon/Wed or Tues/Thurs)
  • 3:30-4:10 (bullpens and long toss) / 4:10-5:00 (pitcher specific strength and conditioning workout utilized by Mr. Parque during his 6+ tenure in the major leagues)
  • During optional workouts (June-August) workouts TBA (mornings once school is out)
  • $700 per pitcher- $300 due by start of training, $100 monthly payments (Oct-Jan)
  • Nutritional training is attached to program
  • Rotator cuff strengthening utilized by MLB pitchers

Program Overview:

  • Mr. Parque is looking for hard working pitchers that have a combination of talent and skill. His number one goal is to teach pitchers how to get paid to play this game.
  • Mr. Parque will train pitchers on how to become marketable.....which is the key to earning a scholarship or get drafted. Many pitchers have talent, but lack "marketability" which is the key ingredient to getting recruited.
  • Other instructors involved with this program ar Jason Mackintosh (current Triple A pitcher for the Pirates) and Orion Jones (head Pierce JC coach). There are other single A and double A pitchers that will be involved in this program as well.
  • There are over 60 college and professional organizations linked to this program, all of which are personal contacts of Mr. Parque. They are consistently seeking talent and currently are recruiting pitchers from this program due to Mr. Parque's recommendations.

Tryouts are free. Hope to see you on September 20th @ 10:00 AM. You do NOT have to sign up or pre-register. Show up and if you make the cut, you will become involved with the best pitcher's training program in the country that is linked to more college and professional baseball organizations than any other showcase and/or program in the country!!!!

*******By no means will participation in this program guarantee you a college scholarship or professional contract. However, it will provide a platform from which you can showcase your talents, hard work, and dedication to baseball for a collective audience of decision makers from the next level. Additionally, it will give you a leg up on the competition- in the event you exhibit what it takes to be successful at the next level!!!

Big League Edge Headed to the Dominican Republic to Compete in International Tournament

BLE is taking three teams, ranging in ages 12-15 down to the Dominican Republic, from August 18-25, to compete in an international tournament against Venezuala and the Dominican Republic. All games are played at the Arizona Diamondbacks' D.R. training facilities, located in Juan Dolio. These training facilities have developed such MLB superstars as Jose Valverde and Miguel Tejada.

BLE is slated to play the D.R. in a double header on August 19 and Venezuala on August 20 in pool play, followed by semis and finals. All BLE teams are representing the United States and are staying at a five star resort, located on the pristine waters of the Carribbean. Other activities that players and their families will experience are tours of Christopher Columbus' grave site, where he landed, and one of the oldest cities established in the new world.

Slated for next year, BLE hopes to continue to provide this opportunity for international competition by taking Puget Sound area players to either Cuba, Italy, or the DR once again.
